What is an organizing maintenance session, and why do we recommend them?

Hello there,

Thank you for being here. I hope you are getting excited as we are with the warmer weather coming upon us.

Lately, we have been receiving questions around scheduling an organizing maintenance session and what does the session entail. Think of this time as having your home getting a refresher. Your life is busy and forever changing and growing. Things can get messy even when you have worked with an organizer. We get it.

Maintenance sessions are for clients who have already worked with us to organize most or all of their homes/offices, and just need some support maintaining their new organizing systems. We often schedule these sessions once a month or once a quarter.

WHAT WE DO DURING A MAINTENANCE SESSION VARIES FROM CLIENT TO CLIENT, BUT HERE ARE SOME OF THE TASKS WE ARE OFTEN CALLED IN TO HELP WITH:

  • Update play area to align with children’s growing interests

  • Have a discussion and offer recommendations to maximize your weekly routines

  • Update any labels

  • Putting thing back into their “homes”

  • Declutter any items that have built up over time

  • Reorganize an area you have grown out of and downsized from

WE ALSO USE MAINTENANCE SESSIONS TO HANDLE SEASONAL TASKS SUCH AS:

  • Discuss your home goals for the current quarter and connect you with preferred vendors

  • Season Closet Change overs

  • Preparing you for your primary or secondary home for the season

  • Setting up new filing systems after tax season and filing away previous year’s documents

  • Taking down and packing away holiday decorations

  • Planning a party or special event

Here is an example of a recent office organizing we completed in Woodfin, NC just minutes outside of Asheville.

Maintain your Organized Office

We had organized this space before with the client. Since we had created systems during our first few sessions this office maintaence took less than 1 hour to put everything back in it’s place. We took 20 minutes to sort things out in to categories and placed post-it notes on items if they needed to be moved in to a different room in the home. Our client uses this space as their home office, we created a to-do list from the items that were left for the upcoming months so they could easily mark things completed.

Does your space need a refesh?

You are in luck!

Green Mountain Space offers maintenance sessions at a discounted rate for returning clients. Our calendars are beginning to fill up so if you wish to have a space we have already organized "touched up" it is best to get on our schedules now.
