Candler Community Donations to benefit the Wilson Family

If you have been follow us on Instagram since last week you have heard about the tragedy that struck the Wilson family homestead early morning on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in Candler, North Carolina.

Niece to Ronnie and Lisa Wilson, Brooke Duncan, posted a message after starting a GoFundMe page for the family.

On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, a devastating fire destroyed the home of Ronnie and Lisa Wilson and their two children, Katelyn (18) and Landon (14). The family is safe, but the house and all their belongings were a total loss. Gunner and Si, their beloved dogs, did not make it. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Please help this family get back on their feet during this period of loss and grief. All donations will go towards clothing, food, housing, and other necessary needs.

While our prayers are with them, we want to support them in this challenging time. All donations are appreciated! Feel free to contact me with any questions or contributions.

Even with the GoFundMe page this family is still in need of the most basic necessities. Since we are a home organizing firm and we help clients declutter and purge items that are no longer serving them in their space, what better place than to donate to a family that lost everything.

Where do I take donations?

Option 1

You can drop donations off at Vulcan Quarry and let the office know it is for the Wilson Family.

Option 2

We are collecting donations until Friday, March 25 and will store them at our organizing warehouse on Brevard Rd. We will deliver donations to a family member Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. If you wish to donate items and would like us to come get them from you send us a message or give us a call.

We want to say Thank You

I want to personally thank you for helping this family during this trying time. Having been homeless myself when I was younger, not due to a fire but for other reasons, and knowing what it feels like to not have the basic necessities in life is the most nauseating anxiety ridden feeling.

Thank you again for your time and donations to help your fellow neighbor.

Sincerely,
